How Long Does Epoxy Take to Dry?
How long does epoxy take to dry on concrete? It is best to leave each coat overnight to dry. On the first day our team will clean and grind the surface then apply the first epoxy coat. We let this dry overnight and the next day apply the 2nd coat of 2pac epoxy. If you have chosen a flake flooring finish we have another step. Which is as the 2nd coat dries we throw flakes over the floor to give you a unique flake pattern.
Again we wait overnight for the 2nd coat to dry. On the third day the team comes in and makes the magic happen! The flakes can sometimes settle face up making some flakes uneven. So with a special blade we smooth any uneven flakes out and dust the entire surface. Then apply 2 coats of gloss polyurethane coating which is uv protected and these coats are what gives the floor the glossy, shiny look. Your garage floor will look amazing and one of the best benefits is not only the durability and gorgeous look but how much flake flooring hides dust and dirt.
